The Tonle Sap is one of the world’s greatest natural wonders and a major source of protein for the people of Cambodia.
The Vietnamese settled on the Tonle Sap Lake in 1981 and revived an ancient tradition and life style that had almost disappeared in the war, chaos and genocide that reigned in Cambodia for thirty years – the Tonle Sap houseboat.
Today more than 7.000 people live on their own houseboats in Kompong
Luong.
